Microderm GLO MINI (Detailed review and photos)

Cheaper, more convenient and gentler, this MINI version of the notorious Microderm GLO is perfect for novices and people with more sensitive skin type. Believe it or not, it provides almost as intensive exfoliation as the original version and people who tried it are amazed by the immediate transformation they achieved.

Cost over performance is certainly not the idea behind this mini version of Microderm GLO. The only difference is that the MINI machine is intended to fit in a purse and safe to use more frequently.

There are many people with excessively oily skin who managed to control the sebum secretion thanks to Microderm GLO MINI. Many people even ditched makeup rituals because of the regular microdermabrasion sessions. These treatments boost skin health, remove imperfections and, over time, the makeup application on a daily basis becomes optional.

How does Microderm GLO MINI work?

Just like the primary version, Microderm GLO MINI uses Diamond Safe3D technology to peel off the outermost skin layer and promote the regrowth of a new, healthier one. Meanwhile, the vacuum feature of this comfortable handheld machine will take care of all the dead cells, clogging your pores, the sebum accumulated and all the impurities that are the basic reason for acne breakouts.

But let’s be real here: you shouldn’t have super high expectations believing deep scar formations and well-expressed pigment spots will magically disappear. No, human skin doesn’t work that way. If you have serious skin damages, you’ll need to be both patient and persistent to obtain a visible effect of the treatment. Microderm MINI works well, indeed, but it’s not a magic wand and you should remember that.

Another interesting aspect is that this device is recommended for both young and mature skin and in fact, you can see comments written by women below 30 and women over 60. Of course, the treatment targets are different but both age groups achieved excellent results.

They are quite satisfied with the design of this mini device, consider it easy to use. Most are happy with the vacuum feature, others believe it is too intense.

A woman provided a picture of the gunk she had on her face prior to her first microdermabrasion session. As you can see, the unpleasant combination of dead skin cells, sebum, and other impurities is a lot and it is not ok for the skin pores to stay clogged with debris.

This next image shows the suction of the machine. According to the review, the suction is strong enough to remove most blackheads. (It is recommended to perform face steaming prior blackheads removal in order to soften the sebum plugs)

Blackheads and debris removal

Here’s another comment informing that even after the initial microdermabrasion treatment, the skin becomes slightly lighter and it’s softer. She is very enthusiastic about the results so far.

Bottom line

In short, you get what you pay for. Microderm GLO MINI does not provide the same effect as salon treatments but it does a pretty neat job in exfoliating the skin and restoring its fresher looks.

If you can’t afford to spend both time and money on professional microdermabrasion sessions, this portable handheld microdermabrasion machine is a perfect budget option that will provide semi-professional exfoliation.
